Spring is always such an inspiring time, especially in Michigan. As we finally emerge from a long hard winter, the sound of birds back in the trees, the first snowdrops and crocuses peeking out and the return of that beautiful blue sky warm all of our hearts!

At Avalon, Spring is particularly welcome as our two gardening programs - Edible Avalon and Gardening with Grace -  start back up. This year, Edible Avalon is building on the amazing success we had last year, and expanding to 5 more sites.  We are putting the finishing touches on our schedules, and are looking for volunteers to help! You can sign up for just a couple of hours one afternoon, a whole summer as a site volunteer or pretty much anything in between. Please call or email Jude for more information.
