Articles featuring Avalon, housing, homelessness
There are a number of ways to volunteer with Avalon, depending on your interests and schedule.
To see a listing of current individual volunteer opportunities, visit our volunteer site.
Community gardening at Avalon focuses on native plants that are good for the environment and easy to maintain. We’ve also built raised beds at some of our properties where our tenants raise vegetables. Help us plant and maintain gardens that beautify our neighborhoods and/or supply nourishing food. Community gardening is on pause through the end of 2021. Starting in March 2022, please contact email@example.com for more information.
Help provide access to healthy food! Pantry volunteers work with Avalon’s tenant group and staff on all aspects of our Pauline and Carrot Way pantries, including set up, food pick up and clean up. Learn more about Food Pantry volunteering
Does your employer, association or volunteer group have dedicated service day(s)? We welcome seasonal help, including grounds work, cleanup and planting at our properties. Group projects are on pause through the end of 2021. Starting in March 2022, for information about group projects, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you invest in Avalon, you are backing an experienced leader who gets real results for the residents we serve. Please consider being part of the solution and help us make a difference in the lives of hundreds of adults and children living in poverty and homelessness in our community.
